SESSION ON GENDER EQUALITY
Gender equality, besides being a fundamental human right, is essential to achieve peaceful societies, with full human potential and sustainable development. Moreover, it has been shown that empowering women spurs productivity and economic growth that's what motivated us to take up this project.
On 17th September, 2023, In connection with International Day of Peace, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Northeast Frontier Railway, Tinsukia District Association organized the informative seminars along with youth discussion ,pamphlet distribution and pledge taking ceremony at Gyannpith School based on Gender Equality, ensuring that the women and girl child get educated about the laws for protecting their rights to reduce gender biased action and promote equality and to ensure peace in our community.
The students along with the teachers participated in the session got benefitted by the session and the, Teachings about their Rights and Laws present in our constitution to protect their rights helped them to learn to speak up, if they sees any inequalities or any harmful behaviour.
Spreading knowledge on a big problem in today's generation such as GENDER EQUALITY is very important for the youths and as a scout we must always do such things for the betterment of our community.
