Service to the victims of the BAHANAGA tragedy.

There is no need for inspiration to serve in case of accidence rather it is a reflex action. When the greatest train accident in Indian railway history occurred at Bahanaga, Odisha, the local scouting people along with the public and other volunteers moved to the spot immediately. Afterward, the scouts /guides/ rovers and rangers of the nearby district reached there to serve the victims.
There was no time & scope for instruction. Each one of them tried their best to help the people with whatever they needed. They rescued the victims, lifted the injured to the ambulance, and even they went to different medicals with them. There they attended to the victims, donated blood where needed, distribute food packets, and cooked food as well as tried to give them mental solace.
The friends and relatives of the victims were overwhelmed by the work of the scouts and guides. Even many of them were so much inspired by it that, they also started helping the volunteers and govt. people as well.
From this incident, it was felt that there should be such provision that anybody can contact us at the time of their need. Monetary funds should be available to meet the emergency.
