Service in Moenlam Choenmo
Serving others is not only about giving what we have, but also about bringing hope, kindness, and happiness into their lives. Through our Scout service, we strive to be the light in others’ path by helping those in need, caring for our community, and inspiring others through selfless service.
From 10th to 14th February, we Scouts volunteered during the Mongar Moenlam Chenmo by serving food to monks and devotees, preparing butter lamps, and helping keep the surroundings clean. Through these activities, we learned the importance of selfless service, teamwork, responsibility, and maintaining a clean environment. On Dessung Raising Day, we also contributed our own money to buy a cake and offered it to the Dessung members as a gesture of appreciation for their dedicated service to the nation. This experience gave us a meaningful opportunity to serve the community and express our gratitude to those who serve others.
As a Scout Leader, I learned that shared work and hardships bring Scouts together, creating strong friendships built on teamwork, trust, and support.
