Service at Kidheykhar Shedra
What inspired us to start this project was our desire to serve the monks during their 45-day retreat. As Scouts, we wanted to put the spirit of service into action by offering our time and helping wherever we were needed. Seeing the amount of work involved in supporting the retreat motivated us to step forward and contribute in our own small way.
During the 45-day retreat at Kidheykhar Lungtok Choki Gatshel Shedra, Scout Kuenga Wangda and Scout Sonam Kinga Yuden volunteered together. We cleaned the shedra surroundings, cut vegetables, washed dishes, and carried supplies. Through this service, we developed teamwork, responsibility, and practical experience.
Project Learning
Through this project, we learned the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and helping others. We also gained practical experience by working together and serving the monks during their retreat.
