Service with devotion at Baza guru drupchen
Already I consider myself to be blessed to have served in multiple religious events presided by his holiness the J khenpo at namdroling monastery. And yet again another week long religious event or drupchen took place where I being a scout myself craving for such services, took part in as volunteer to provide my service with devotion
Due to schooling I couldn't serve full time.But served during the final 3 days where I not only took part as a volunteer but as being a scout leader, also executed the cleaning, preparation & serving of meals to the devotees gathered. Including me, there were 45 of us whom we did all our tasks with unity without failure under one command.The tasks include : • Cutting of vegetables • Preparation/serving of three meals & refreshments • Dish washing, waste management & cleaning • Crowd arrangement
• Unity and cooperation is must during voluntary services • Small act of service matters • Leadership is action, not position • Helping others bring inner peace • Devotion and service goes together
