Senior Scouts First Aid Course for Service Badge (Lencana Perkhidmatan)

For the pass 2 days, Senior Scouts of Petaling District attended a Service Badge course as a compulsory criteria for King Scout candidates. This course was organised by the district and volunteer leaders in collaboration with Malaysia Red Crescent Society (BSMM). The course/camp covered basics required for the badge as well as basic testing for the upcoming Pre-standardisation and Standardisation camps for the King Scout candidates. Topics covered were First aid and lifesaving as well as scenario based exercises with their First Aid tests at the end. Also covered were the compulsory swimming tests and some lifesaving lessons to prepare the candidates for the bigger upcoming camps. Leaders on duty that volunteered to help out were constantly present and on the watch to handle administrative duties for the scouts and BSMM trainers including logistics, lodging and basic cleanliness. Overall, it was a really good event for both leaders and scouts alike.
