Scouts Week-end Rally
The 1st Saraswati- Dilkusha Scouts of Saraswati Primary School– Dilkusha held its School Based Camp for the year on the 7th – 8th June, 2013 with a total of 28 registered campers ranging from classes 6 – 8; and a Form 3 student of Saraswati College.
The camp registration started at 1.00pm. Activities started at 2.00pm. The wet weather conditions did not dampen the spirit of the young scouts as they took part in their indoor and outdoor activities. The activities were:
- Billy boiling
- Trestle race
- Making clothes hangars
- Using a stretcher
- Blind man activity
- Crossing a stream
- Lashing and knotting activity
The camp fire had to be conducted indoors due to the heavy downfall in the night. Our Camp Chief was Mr. Ami Chand, the former District Commissioner for Nausori Scouts Council. All scouts received a Certificate of Participation during the camp fire. The day ended with a late night supper and lights off was at 10 o’clock.
Saturday’s programme began at 6 o’clock. The school facilities were properly cleaned before the scouts farewell each other after breakfast. We left the school compound at 9 o’clock on Saturday morning.
