Samtengang Central School is located on the way to historical route which is used commonly by commuters in the past for east west region of Bhutan. And the place is blessed to be a part of sustainable tourism initiative. Today we were honored and delighted to receive and host a welcome to 45 TBT program participants which includes 24 youth scouts, 2 army officer, 1 Dessup, 1 local guide, 6 BBS team, 1 TBT official, 1 trek guide and 9 preparatory team.
The Trans Bhutan Trail is a not-for-profit social and tourism enterprise. 100% of the profits go back into maintaining the Trail and supporting communities and individuals along the route. Travelling with us is the best way to support our mission. Please also consider becoming a member or making a donation through one of our charitable partners. With this all the participants of this program were much more aware of the TBT and its importance.
Not only has the Trail allowed the Bhutanese to again walk in the footsteps of their ancestors to rediscover generations’ worth of stories and history, it also highlights the Kingdom’s core principles concerning the environment and sustainable development. The restoration of this Trail will provide you with an intimate view of one of the world’s best preserved traditional cultures and environments while traversing the world’s only carbon negative country.
