Scouts serve 10 times of NAT in a month

Macao SAR had found covid-19 cases after more than 250 days of zero case, Macau government organized ten round of Mass Nucleic Acid Testing (NAT) since late June 2022. The Community Services Department of The Scout Association of Macau immediately took actions to mobilize and organize eligible scouts to form Scout volunteer teams and took up the responsibility, with full hearted, of providing services at two testing stations and two buses for the Macao people.
During the twenty days of services, our Scouts worked at two stations and two NAT buses to help the citizen. Scouts were dispatched to assist maintaining discipline and order, guiding citizens to proper line for NAT, making appointment, upload RAT results. A total of 308 scouts had been participated in the 4863 services hours mass NAT Drive, they firmly stayed at their posts and worked 16 hours a day.
Scouts contributed more than 4863 hours of service. All Scout volunteers accomplished their job with an extraordinary success at this sudden mission.
“To participate and to serve the community” has always been one major strategy of our Association to cultivate our scouts, especially this service has marked a significant importance. Scouts worked in solidarity with good team spirit, served for the Macao SAR Government to eliminate the hidden threats of the epidemic and contributed to help in restoring as soon as possible the normal life for Macao residents and people staying in Macao SAR.
