Scouts for a Plastic-Free Sea

Our motivation to start this sea cleaning project came from witnessing the increasing pollution along our coastlines, especially the harmful effects of plastic waste on marine life. As Scouts and Messengers of Peace, we felt responsible to protect nature and take action in our community. We were inspired by global environmental movements and wanted to raise awareness locally through meaningful service.
We executed our sea cleaning project by first selecting a polluted coastal area and gathering all necessary cleaning tools. Scouts were divided into teams to clean, collect, and sort waste materials like plastic, fishing nets, and other debris. An awareness rally was also organized to educate the public about the importance of protecting the ocean.
During the sea cleaning project, we learned the importance of teamwork and how every small contribution can make a big impact. We gained practical knowledge on waste sorting and disposal to minimize environmental harm. The project also taught us how raising awareness about pollution can inspire positive change in our community.
