Scouts in Obot Akara Plant Cassava and Melon

The scouts in Obot Akara Local Association embarked on the Planting of Manihot esculentum and Cucumerupsi manni. The district commissioner Mr. Omodot Umoh led the team of 3 to the farm for the planting. This is an action by the district to provide food for life and sustain the means of livelihood of the scouts in the district.. .. Manihot esculentum and Cucumeropsi manni are commonly known as Cassava and melon respectively. these plants are the major food crops in the southern part of Nigeria. Cassava is used in the production of so many kinds of materials such as; flour, Garri, Starch, etc. while Melon is a major vegetable that is consumed in very high quantity around the region.
