Scouts At Emergency Radio Service
as the rain started pouring continuously over Kerala state some districts were termed red zones. in the Malappuram district, there was a high probability of flood. so the information was passed from the collectorate to call for scouts with an amateur radio license.
the plan was implemented in nilambur and various places in the Malappuram district. each scout with a radio operator's license was assigned to each points to collect and relay the information to the collectorate office.
a lot of people was benefited from this , the emergency response unit and effective communication was done because of the scouts present.
even during times of natural disaster, we scouts can do a lot to help others.
