Scouts in the Community - Good Turn Week Care Packages

“Scouts in the Community- Good Turn Week Care Packages” is an idea developed by two Rovers in the Cascadia Council and will be carried out in the Central Okanagan Area (Kelowna, BC). We are collecting items including socks, toothbrushes, deodorant, granola bars and other hygiene items, and on April 25th we are gathering in the morning to assemble care packages with these. Once assembled, we are going to downtown Kelowna and hand out the care packages to less the fortunate people in our community. Leftover care packages will be donated women’s and men’s shelters in the community. We reached out to members of our Scouting community to help us collect items, and to volunteer on the day of the project with putting together care packages and handing them out.
