THE Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) through its Religious Section and Girl Scout Section recently organised a Khatam Al-Quran and breaking of fast ceremony at the prayer hall of the association building in Jalan Gadong.

Over 100 PPNBD members attended the event aimed at instilling the spirit of loving Al-Quran reading culture among scouts members as guideline in life and also to foster closer relationship.

President of PPNBD, Haji Matussin bin Orang Kaya Sura Haji Tuba was the guest of honour.

Also present were Scout Chief Commissioner, Haji Awang Badar bin Haji Awang Ali, scout commissioners, district scout commissioner, executive scout leaders, cub scout members, junior scout members, ventures scout members and rovers scout members.

The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by President of PPNBD followed by the recitation of verses of Al-Quran, Takhtim and Doa Khatam by scout members.

Two groups participated in the recitation of Tedarus Al-Quran comprising the national level group – Boy Scouts Section and Girls Scout Section. The ceremony ended with the breaking of fast and mass Maghrib prayer.
