On the 1st of April, 2013. The scouts of Serrekunda West District held a three days camp with the National Capoeira Assciation inother to develop different tanlents in to scouts. They first conduct training with the new members among the scouts. However, Bakoteh Venture Scout Unit was the first unit to start the Capoeira Game in the SereKunda West District, and today it grows to almost all the scout troops in the District.. Moreover, Scouts find this activity as a very good activity that contributes to the development of an individual in different development areas. It also teaches you self defence techniques that may help you when the need arises. Capoeira is a fun and entertainment which involved acrobat, singing, dancing, martial Arts as well as cultural dance and performance. Capoeira Association's headquarters is located at Ishanji Kunda Tanjeh Village Kombo North District, Western Region. And capoeira was developed my Master Valua from Brazil and now in Holland. Now Honorable Baba Prince Kolani from Washington DC in United State of America is contributing to the development of the capoeira culture in the Gambia.
