Scouting Green: Tree Parenting Project
The project was inspired by our commitment to environmental stewardship and the belief that young people can lead meaningful change. Seeing the effects of deforestation and climate challenges in our own community encouraged us to take action. Through tree planting and tree parenting, we hope to cultivate responsibility, protect our environment, and leave a lasting legacy of growth for future generations.
Our project was executed by coordinating with local officials, preparing seedlings and materials, and organizing scouts into teams for planting and tree parenting. After planting, we provided quick guidance on proper tree care and scheduled follow-up visits to monitor the trees’ growth.
We have learned the value of teamwork, responsibility, and consistency in caring for the environment. We also realized that small actions, like planting and nurturing a tree, can create long-term positive change.
