"Scout Sweep at Shaheed Minar"

We noticed the Sylhet Central Shaheed Minar was dirty due to frequent events in July. As Rover Scouts, we felt responsible to keep this national place clean. Our values of civic duty and respect for heritage inspired us to act.
We formed a 20-member team from the Metropolitan University Rover Scout Group. With cleaning tools like gloves, masks, and waste bags, we cleaned the surroundings of Sylhet Central Shaheed Minar. The team was divided into groups to cover different areas. Waste was collected, sorted, and disposed of properly. The activity was completed in one day with team coordination and safety measures.
This project taught us the importance of civic responsibility and teamwork. We learned that small actions, like cleaning a public space, can inspire greater community awareness. It also strengthened our leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills as we worked together to serve our city.
