Scout helps Macau City-wide Nucleic Acid Testing
To cope with the Macao Special Administrative Region Government for the Second Mass Nucleic Acid Testing (NAT) Drive, the Community Services Department of The Scout Association of Macau immediately took actions to mobilize and organize eligible scouts to form two Scout volunteer teams and took up the responsibility, with full hearted, of providing services at two testing stations for the Macao residents and all people staying in Macao SAR.
Two teams of Scouts were dispatched to assist maintaining discipline and order, guiding citizens to proper line for NAT. A total of 168 scouts had been participated in the 72 hours ongoing mass NAT Drive, they firmly stayed at their posts and worked 24 hours a day at two stations.
Scouts contributed more than 1,300 hours of service. All Scout volunteers accomplished their job with an extraordinary success at this sudden mission.
“To participate and to serve the community” has always been one major strategy of our Association to cultivate our scouts, especially this service has marked a significant importance. Scouts worked in solidarity with good team spirit, served for the Macao SAR Government to eliminate the hidden threats of the epidemic and contributed to help in restoring as soon as possible the normal life for Macao residents and people staying in Macao SAR.
