Scout Clean-up for Dengue Prevention
We saw a rise in dengue cases in our area. Many people were unaware of how to prevent mosquito breeding. As Scouts, we felt responsible to raise awareness and take action. Our goal was to inform people and clean areas where mosquitoes could grow.
We conducted door-to-door awareness campaigns, distributed leaflets, and cleaned stagnant water spots. Scouts removed waste, cleaned drains, and informed families on dengue prevention. We worked in teams wearing uniform and used megaphones to spread messages in the local area.
We learned how community education and simple cleaning actions can prevent serious diseases. We also improved our leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. This project showed how Scouts can protect public health and spread peace.
