We  planned to conduct awareness on cleanliness and planting trees. So we decided to celebrate World Environment Day  on June 5th  2018 at our Madurai Railway station Premises and colony. With the permission of our Madurai District Secretary, we the 50 members of scouts and guides gathered in the Railway Station. First  we displayed pictures at  the platform and explained about keeping the surroundings clean. After that we acted on street play for creating awareness on saving environment. The passengers who were waiting for the trains they enjoyed and appreciated our works. Then we came to Railway colony and started cleaning the areas and by getting inspired, people living in that colony along with the scout members made our surroundings neat and clean. We then issued pamplets to the public and delivered the message to plant trees and save energy and protect them. Though the scouts and guides were engaged fully they worked enthusiastically.
