SANKALP : To Create a Better Tomorrow | 2. Environment and Sustainability | Project Report of Challenge No. 3 #GoGreen
We know that the usage of plastics are increasing rapidly in the world by each moment. Also they are achieved a role in Supermarkets and other stores. Nowadays we faces many issuses about due to the increasing of Plastic carry bags that above 50 microns. It is very harmful, when burning as well as deposit in the soil.
As a Rover Aspirant, I'm planned planned to reduce the the increasing units of plastic carry bags on my house with the light of SANKALP Project. I maked a Carry bag using old Lungi (Traditional skirt like garnament in India that worn around the waist).
Required items :
Old Lungi, Needle, Thread ( Here I'm maked the bag by hand stitching.), For designing use Sparkling Stones, or others
Making :
Take the Lungi and cut it to required size you want to make the bag. Stitch the edges of it by using the same colour of Lungi. I'm preferred for Double stitching for increase the weight carrying capacity. After that, Stitch the hands of bag to carry them. Stick the fabric stones in the outer sides of bag for designing using a suitable gum. (Fevicol is normally used).
Then making the bag, I'm used it for shopping mainly to buy vegetables. Also try in your home and we can participate in the campaign to save our Earth from plastics.
Bharat Scouts & Guides are spreading awareness through social media.
