After student protest in Bangladesh about the road safety the government has taken some valuable steps to make the roads safe.The scouts has successfully participated in that mission.The imformation about this project has been given bellow.

Volunteers of Bangladesh Scouts are working to increase Traffic Awareness and Traffic Safety of Pedestrians.

Rover Scouts have started works to help Traffic Police and raise awareness among Pedestrians on request of Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police -- DMP since 8:30 am on Wednesday, September 05. The Programme will continue till September 30, 2018 DMP sources said.

 

According to them, a total of 322 Rover Volunteers are working from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm daily at 12 important points of the capital.

 

Rover Volunteers are working to increase Traffic Awareness among Pedestrians and enforce Traffic Rules. 

 

Earlier, in the recent Traffic Week, they helped Traffic Police in various ways like checking jay walking on the city road, making Pedestrians aware about walking on the Footpath, properly crossing road etc.

 

Legal action is being taken according to the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Ordinance, 1983, against the Drivers of vehicles without Fitness Token, genuine and valid Driving License etc. 

 

Rovers of Bangladesh Scouts were trained for helping the Police properly.
