Safe from Harm: Tunisian Scouting

The project was inspired by the belief that scouting spaces must be safe, and that protection is not just procedures, but a culture and a shared responsibility.
The National Committee for Safe from Harm organized the National SFH Forum with 40 leaders participating. Training sessions covered national protection policy, leadership code of conduct, reporting mechanisms, WOSM protection concepts, legal references, disability inclusion, and listening teams. The forum ended with the symbolic distribution of "Protection Vests," representing commitment to safeguarding children, youth, adults, and supporters in scouting.
-Protection is a culture and shared responsibility, not just procedures -Comprehensive training is needed (policies, codes of conduct, reporting mechanisms, legal frameworks, disability inclusion, listening teams) - International recognition from WOSM and Arab scout associations validates and motivates efforts -Leadership engagement at all levels is essential for success -Inclusion of people with disabilities must be integrated into protection strategies
