Sacred service at Lhuentse Wanglung/empowerment
It was a headline news that stated that a month long wang-lung or empowerment of Dorji Trengwa will take place at my school ground, presided over by his holiness the 70th J khenpo where thousands of devotees will gather. Hearing that I imagined how it would be a great and sacred opportunity to volunteer as a scout in such sacred empowerment especially being presided over by his holiness the J Khenpo. Thus u volunteered
Being a month long empowerment,thousands of faithful devotees gathered at Autsho football ground.Though I wanted to serve consistently for a month,schooling acted as a barrier.Thus I volunteered during the weekends & worked along with Dessups & other designated volunteers for 10 days in total.The tasks I had done during wang lung are:•Loading,unloading & preparation of three daily meals •Preparation of tea & refreshments •Serving & washing the dishes •Crowd control, waste management & sanitation
• Selfless service is important while serving as a scout • Teamwork and unity • Humility while serving •Discipline and responsibility
