ROUTINE CHOLERAA CAMPAIGN
The Routine Cholera Campaign carried out by the scouts came as result of continued outbreak of Cholera in South Sudan, the Cholera outbreak always happens as a result of open defecation and poor waste management system in the Country. There had been a wide open defecation in most residential areas due to lack of latrines and some are doing because of their negative cultural beliefs. Most towns in South Sudan are dirty full of garbage everywhere. When rains started all the human feces and the other waste are washed in to all the drinking water sources, and that causes Cholera out break and claim many lives especially children and elderly people.
However, with the small contribution made by the Scouts in schools, Churches, Mosques, Markets and Road sides great improvement have been seen with the last two years that there had been no any Cholera outbreak in Juba.
