Road repair work begins before the monsoon season
My village is Batiaghata in Khulna district. A busy dirt road there had been in a dilapidated condition for a long time. Since all the people of the village use the road to commute to the city, its repair is very important. Since the rainy season is coming, the road needs to be repaired very soon, otherwise the condition of the road will worsen. For this reason, I was inspired and started the repair work of the road.
I, two members of my unit and two members of another unit worked on the road for two consecutive days. We dug soil from a nearby canal, filled the potholes, and laid bricks. We were able to repair the entire damaged section in two days.
Through this project, I have learned how to quickly and immediately repair the roads used by the underprivileged people of the village with the collective efforts of everyone. The experience of working in coordination with my own unit and Khulna District Rovers has made me responsible about leadership and human values. Above all, this program has taught me to be with the people in a better way.
