A Restroom for All: Comfort and Convenience for the Community
Many people in the locality used to gather at the site of my project for various purposes, such as welcoming high dignitaries, circumambulating a religious stupa, and conducting pujas. However, there was no restroom nearby. So, I approached the school management and shared my idea of constructing one. They accepted my proposal, and the project was successfully carried out.
My project is located along the Trashigang-Samdrup Jongkhar highway, about 3 km west of my school. It benefits around 200 households and travelers using the highway. The toilet was constructed with support from the school management, while scout members contributed their labor.
Through this project, I developed plumbing and masonry skills while actively participating in construction work. Additionally, I strengthened my interpersonal skills by collaborating with the school management and community members, fostering positive relationships, and ensuring the project's successful completion.
