Restoring Hope: Easter at the Juvenile In Mombasa Kenya
Who remembers the juveniles during the holidays? Who reminds them that they are not forgotten, that they are not alone?” These questions are the heartbeat of my motivation. While the world celebrates, many young offenders sit behind bars : isolated, overlooked, and often abandoned by society. I am driven by the simple yet profound desire to be a voice that says, “You matter. You are not alone. Your story doesn’t end here.” My passion is to bring light into those dark spaces through mentorships.
Through group discussions, we encouraged reflection and growth. We gifted Bibles and geometrical sets—spiritual and educational tools to guide their journey. A lively color festival added fun and vibrancy to the day, reminding the children that joy still belongs in their lives. We wrapped up with a shared meal and dancing, leaving behind not just gifts, but lasting memories of love and belonging.
Young offenders also need love, care and motivation just like any other child.
