Restoration of Walking Trail/Water ways for City of Ringgold

A massive tornado tore thru the town of Ringgold Georgia causing massive devastation to the local community and to the enviroment.   Some of the issues caused was a large area of trees and brush that were sheared off and pilled up into and accross the hiking trails.  This also impacted the water drain off to the river from the surrounding communities.     The project required the troop of scouts to remove all the brush from the drainage areas.   Haul out the downed trees and dig out all the culverts.    Once this was all accomplished.  The boys then laid new rock along the banks of the culvert to reinforce it to prevent loss of surface area due to erosion.  The drainage pipes were then cleared out and leveled off as they drained into the river.      The walking trail was then cleared of down trees and brushed that washed accross it.  This projects completion has now given it back to the community for the enjoyment of nature It also allows the free flow of run off water from rains so that it no longer pools and becomes stagnant.  This reduces the presence of mosquitos and future flooding problems for the surrounding homes.
