The District Scout Association of Samdrup Jongkhar organized three days of spiritual camp for the scouts at Pemathang LSS from 30th April-2nd May, 2019.  20 students (10 girls and 10 boys) from  lower, Middle and Higher secondary schools with 2 escorts each, volunteer scouts and  leadership scouts participated in this event. While the students took part in spiritual camp, the scout leaders were provided refresher course on  the Basic Unit Leaders Training. 

Some of the pertinent  topics that were covered during the three days course:

1. Spiritual camp for the students:

i. Meditation  ii. Various religious discourse (different topics on different days).   iii. Astrology   iv. Culture of our country   V. spiritual hike.

2. Refreshers course for adult leaders:

i. Scouting history   ii. BP exercises   iii. Rope works and lashings (Pioneering)   iv. Hiking (code and cipher)     v. Drills and commands    vi. flag protocol/ceremony.            vii. Scouting for community development.
