Recycling Plastic Bread Tags for Wheelchairs

When our friends from Scouts, Jareth & Kyra told us about Bread Tags for Wheelchairs, we decided to join them and find out what it was all about.
So to help collect as many bread tags as possible we asked our family and friends to help us. We explained our reasons for wanting to help and they all thought this was a great way to recycle the Bread tags instead of going into landfill. Each month we would go to our family and friends to collect the Bread tags and then we would place them into Jareth & Kyra's container.
What a great initiative by ozbreadtagsforwheelchairs.org.au So far 61 Wheelchairs have been made, that is 6813kg of Aussie Bread Tags. So the current recycling rate is 250kg of bread tags / month (appr. 2700 tags/ kg).
We will continue to recycle our Bread Tags as every little bit helps the environment and makes a real difference for the people in need.
