So, it all began when my friend and I visited a park in our locality. We were just having a walk in the morning when we overheard few kids talking about the sad conditions in which the slides and swings were maintained. I asked them, "Why is it that you don't use these equipments" to which they replied, "They're in a bad condition, so we don't want to sit on them".We thought, why not help by actually painting these ourselves but the only problem was funds. A friend came up with a brilliant idea of recycling old newspaper and magazines. We then started by collecting old newspaper and magazines in the vicinity and once we had collected enough, we gave them for recycling and used the money we received to buy tools for carrying out our task. We then painted the swings and slides in the park by ourselves and it was great pleasure to see the kids starting to use them again and also, we were happy with ourselves to know that we helped in bringing about a small change in our locality.
