Recycling And Cleaning The Festival
The Covers Festival was coming up and we had a recess on our scout group's activities. Our troupe had plans to meet up in the show, just twatch it and have fun, but I also wanted to keep scouting while there. That's when I had the idea to make this project. I thought it would keep the festival clean, and we could also benefit our troupe from selling the recyclables. I also wanted to help some newer members to progress and integrate in our activities.
We started by developing “trash backpacks”. The production was one day prior to the event that would last for 3 days. We went to the show and established a meeting place. The first show started at around 6 P.M. and we collected until around 10 P.M. when the last show would finish. We packed the trash bags in the car's trunk and returned to my house to deposit the bags. In the last day we took the trash to a local recycling point that bought all our recyclables for a total of R$72
We learnt that we can get income with trash by recycling. It helps not only to help the environment but also to provide money to continue doing what we do.
