RCI-Rodriguez: SWA Voluntary Service - Twelfth Service

On May 25, 2017, the 12th day of teaching was held. That day, they resumed teaching. Like always, the Scouts, and their Team Consultant, arrived at Cottolengo Filipino by 7:00 AM, with visuals in their arms and smiles on their faces, the Scouts went to work. They arranged the chairs and hung up their visuals, with the Boy Scouts by their side, lending a hand whenever they could. The preparation went by smoothly and finished by 8:00 AM. Right after this, they welcomed the day with a small Opening Ceremony. By 8:15 AM, the Boy Scouts already went to their seats, obviously excited by the new lessons. The teachers for the day taught about “Safety Hazards in the Home” and their signs. They started their lesson and showed everyone examples of what might happen if ever this was encountered, and what to do in case of encountering one. After this, they started with their first activity, at 9:15 AM. Their first activity was to draw and color the sign of a Safety Hazard they are most familiar with, and then it was posted on the wall to serve as a real sign/reminder. They finished all this by 10:15 AM. Next, they were also taught bandaging using the neckerchief, also part of the given requirements to advance into Tenderfoot Rank. While the teachers for the day were doing what they're supposed to be doing, the last and second activity was being held. As they were teaching, they were also demonstrating how to do it, depending on when and where to apply the bandage. As the Scouts were teaching, the others would serve as a guide for the Boy Scouts to do it. Everyone was done, and it was 11:15 AM by that time. After this, they immediately washed their hands and prayed before they sat down and ate their meal. By the time they finished their snacks, the Boy Scouts helped the Scouts fix the place. They bid their farewells and hoped to see each other soon.
