On May 18, 2017, the Scouts’ 10th day of teaching was held. As usual, the Scouts, along with their Team Consultant, arrived at Cottolengo Filipino on 7:00 AM in the morning in order to start and finish early with their preparations. They finished by 8:00 AM, a bit earlier with the help of the Boy Scouts. They fixed chairs, arranged tables, and cleaned up the place first before hanging up the needed visuals. As they have finished, they went outside for the Opening Ceremony, so that they could start their day. After this, they started their lesson by 8:15 AM, and it was all about Personal Health Care, Rules and Planning a Balanced Diet. The Teachers for the day have prepared a long lesson, since it will be tackling about 2 topics. The teachers gave examples of healthy food plans, and even taught about proper hygiene. They finished it all by 10:00 AM, with the teacher giving out demonstrations while teaching. They proceeded onto the activities. The first activity was to fix a puzzle forming a child washing his hands. Like normal, everyone was given a chance to join and cooperate since all of them were given a piece of the puzzle. They finished by 10:15 AM. Their second and last activity was to color a famous cartoon character from Spongebob, who is, Patrick Star. He is very well-known and like in the picture, he was showing an example as he was holding a toothbrush, promoting hygiene. As they have finished, they wrote their names and their works were later displayed. They finished by 11:00 AM and by that time, they started to have their snack break. All happy and satisfied, the Boy Scouts helped the Scouts fix the things that were used, said their farewells and said their ‘see you agains’, waiting for another teaching day to come!
