On June 7, 2017, the 16th day of teaching in Cottolengo Filipino has been held. They arrived at 7:00 AM in the morning, like always, to start their preparation earlier. When the Scouts and their Team Counsultant arrived, the Boy Scouts hurriedly assisted them with their things and helped then fix the chairs and tables, as if it was also now part of their daily routine. Next, the Scouts put up their visuals on the bulletin board, cleaned up the place, and then readied the activities to be done later on that day. They also have bought knots because the lesson for the day is all about knots. As soon as they've finished, they immediately started the Opening Ceremony and, since it was raining, they held their Opening Ceremony outside. They finished by 8:15 AM. The lesson for the day was all about the 8 basic knots. The teachers for the day have brought ties for the Boy Scouts to practice on. As the Boy Scouts' Advancement to the Tenderfoot Rank is coming nearer and nearer, the lessons have been becoming longer and harder to understand. But since the Scouts are always ready, the teachers for the day have bought their own tie so that they could demonstrate the knot while teaching them, and then, the guiding Scouts did a second demonstration, closer to the Boy Scouts, so that they could understand. By 9:30 AM, the lesson was finished and the first activity was about to start. Their activity was to do the 8 basic knots, of course, with their guides, using the tie given to them. Everyone did it, thanks to the visuals the Scouts have prepared. They finished the first activity by 10:30 AM. Their next and last activity was to color the Carrick Bend correctly with three colors. They used the colors the Scouts provided, and then they started almost immediately. Unexpectedly, the Boy Scouts enjoyed the lesson for the day and were also hooked up with knot tying. They finished by 11:30 AM. After the activity, they washed their hands and prayed, and then proceeded to their 30-minute snack break. After they've finished their food, they helped the Scouts clean up the equipment used for the whole day. They bid their farewells, and, hoped to see each other again to have more exciting lessons.
