RCI Rodriguez: SWA Voluntary Service - Seventh Service
It was on May 9, 2017 when the 7th day of teaching in Cottolengo Filipino has been held. The Scouts, lead on by their Team Consultant, went there on 7:00 AM sharp, to be greeted by the Boy Scouts, They were now helping them every morning, since they have been taught how good a scout is, and how good it is to help. They finished preparing my 8:00 AM, and they started their Opening Ceremony immediately.
By 8:15 AM, they started their lesson proper. The lesson for the day was about the roles and responsibilities of the ranks in a Patrol or Troop. The assigned teachers for the day taught this, with simple demonstrations on what a leader and what a Boy Scout does. After this, they proceeded immediately to the activity. At 9:15 AM, their first activity was to fix a puzzle. Only two were given this task and, if they did not finish it, their fellow Boy Scouts cannot move on to the next activity. With enough teamwork, the two finished it by 9:30 AM. Their next activity was to color the signs/patches of the different roles of the Scout. They will next be assigned to troops in order to do their activities as a team. They finished by 10:30 AM.
Next, after this, the two were now assigned in crews, and the Troop roles and ranks were given to each, now having their own ranks. They finished this by 11:15 AM. After they have finished, the Boy Scouts helped the Scouts to tidy up the used things, even though they were tired and exhausted from yet another fun day. After this, they started having their
30-minute snack break, praying before it, and then cleaning the things and tidying up, applying everything that was taught from the beginning. After, they bid their farewells to the Scouts, hoping to see them next time.
