On June 9, 2017, the 17th day of teaching in Cottolengo Filipino was held. The Scouts and their Team Consultant arrived by 7:00 AM, like always, to start their preparation earlier. Since the day's lesson was actually more on application, the Scouts prepared more on the activities. As they've arrived, the Boy Scouts helped the Scouts prepare the visuals, activities, chairs and tables to be used later on. While the Boy Scouts were helping the Scouts, they were also telling stories on how the Scouts have somehow changed them. They are now helping more when it comes to cooking, sweeping the leaves and fixing their beds. They learned a lot, and they are now thanking the Scouts for what they have done. By 8:00 AM, they were finished; after the preparations, they immediately started the Opening Ceremony to officially start their day.
Their lesson for the day was about the Kim's Games. It was a game based merely on keen observation. The lesson proper started by 8:15 AM and was finished by 8:45 AM. It was a short lesson since the lesson was more on applying what they have learned. The teachers for the day have prepared only two activities, but the first activity will have its mechanics changed after the completion of each. The first game was to guess an item by the sense of touch. Each guide will have the Boy Scouts memorize the items on the table within the given time; when the time is up, the guides will have the Boy Scouts blindfolded. The teachers will hand the Boy Scouts an item and the Boy Scouts will guess what it is, only by feeling it. Each Boy Scout had the chance to do this game, and everyone enjoyed. They finished by 9:45 AM. Their next game was done by pairs. The teachers laid out 5 things in the table, and, they will be covered with a cloth; by the time the cloth is lifted, an item will be gone, and they will guess which is. The first one to guess which item is gone will be the winner. Everyone was happy to play games, and they finished the activity by 10:30 AM.
They did their 3rd and last game. Scouts will be brought up front and the Scouts will have the Boy Scouts face away. While they are not looking, one of the Scouts will hide and they will all guess who. They completed the activity and were all having a blast. Their finished by 11:00 AM. Their last activity was to color a spy, using the provided coloring materials by the Scouts. Everyone finished on time, and by 11:30 AM, they were able to take their 30-minute snack break, following their routine. After this, they helped the Scouts fix their things, and the venue used, and bid their farewell, excited and, also sad, for their last day of teaching.
