On the 2nd of May, the Scouts have once again successfully conducted a day of teaching in Cottolengo Filipino. The Scouts and their Team Consultant arrived the place on 7:00 AM in the morning, hurriedly preparing their prepared visuals and presentations in order to teach the new lesson. What makes the day special is that, of course, the Boy Scouts of Cottolengo Filipino will now start advancing onwards to the Tenderfoot Rank. Knowing this, the now Boy Scouts of Cottolengo Filipino are more energized to help the Scouts prepare for the lesson. By 8:00 AM, their Opening Ceremony was held.
Quickly at 8:15 AM after the opening ceremony, they proceeded to the lesson proper. The assigned teacher for the day elaborated more about the Scout Oath and Law, Motto and Slogan. Before this, they reminded the Boy Scouts about how to properly execute the Scout Sign and Scout Handshake. The teacher for the day prepared also a song number which everyone will dance to. After this, they proceeded immediately to the modules. The lesson finished by 9:45 AM. Activities should follow each lesson, but for the day, the Scouts have prepared an “ice-breaker” or additional activity to lighten up the mood.
Then, by 10:00 AM, they started their activities. Their first activity’s main goal was for them to recite the Scout Oath and law (with a guide). They recited this in unison, slowly trying to memorize what has been taught. By 10:45 AM, their next and last module was coloring the country’s Boy Scout Mascot, doing the Scout Salute. By 11:30 AM, they immediately wrapped up their day and ate their small snack break. After this, they bid their farewells and as they were getting used to it, they were sure and happy that there were more meetings to come.
