The Rashtrapati Guide Award Testing Camp of Southern Region was conducted at Regional Training Center, Naduvathur, Kozikode, Kerala, from 17th Nov 2014 to 21st Nov 2014. 10 Guides with 2 Unit Leaders from Tamilnadu and 198 Guides with 14 Unit Leaders from Kerala are participated in this camp. The Testing camp was started on 17th Nov 2014 with Registration, Flag Ceremony followed by Integration session. Subjects of Pravesh test started in the evening. As per new Guideline written test was conducted on 2nd Day ie. 18th Nov morning. Practical, Oral and written test was conducted as per syllabus and guideline for each test. Mapping, Pioneering, Camping, Ambulance practical test were completed on second day afternoon. Checking of log book of various project works, proficiency badges, Hike etc. completed in time. The Guides were prepared Shelter, movable Flag Pole etc. On 18th Nov evening Mr Sakeer Hussain State Secretary Bharat Scouts and Guides Kerala, was visited in this camp. On 20th after noon special classes Condu-cted about ‘Free Being Me’ & ‘Messengers Of Peace’ and at evening Grand Campfire was organized by the participants were presented colourful programme during the testing camp. Mrs. Kumud Mehra- ROC (G) of Western Region was Leader of the Camp ably assisted by Mrs.Philomina LT (G) (chief examiner), M. Ruth baby LT (G) and R. Manjula LT (G) are from Tamilnadu, Sreeja Kumari LT (G), V.Visalakshi LT (G), Nancy Joseph ALT(G), M.K.Kuttiyamma ALT (G), P.M.Vijayakumari ALT (G), Anitha.M.Nair HWB (G) are from Kerala as examiners. Mr. P. Prasanth ASOC assisted as Quarter Master in this camp. On 21st Nov morning All Faith Prayer was conducted. After completing the closing formalities, lowering of BSG flag and singing of National Anthem the camp was declared closed. The Testing camp was conducted impartially and as per Guideline of the National Headquarters. Tasty and delicious food was supplied by host state as per taste of the participants. The accommodation and physical arrangement was also good.
