Railway Passenger Service Programme
We were engaged in railway passenger service for 3 days in the morning, afternoon and night during Eid. Bangladesh Scouts, Sylhet Railway District took the initiative of this activity. 50 scouts, rover volunteers and senior leaders participated from different units of Bangladesh Scouts, Akhaura Railway District.
We were tasked with ticket checking, security, providing information, finding seats for passengers, security at informed entry and working with the rover scout sense of responsibility. Rover Scout is able to prevent many people from knowingly entering the platform with fake tickets. Railway police and TT brothers worked with the scouts.
within our community.Our experience at Akhaura Railway Station taught us the importance of community engagement and collective action. By taking the initiative to clean the rail lines and platforms, we gained a sense of responsibility and ownership for our surroundings. Working alongside fellow volunteers strengthened our bonds and underscored the power of unified efforts in effecting positive change
