Rafting on the river Teteriv Organizer - Scout group "Totem" with the support of the Kyiv city center of social services for families, children and youth, as well as the Department of Tourism of the Kyiv Palace of children and youth. Technical information: Route: from the village Levkov to the village Novogorodetskoe. Length of the route: 60 km. Duration: 5 days. Group: 11 people. Ships: tourist catamarans. Just imagine: a small (10 x 10 meters) island, where scouts were trying to equip and prepare two catamarans. It was the beginning of an interesting tourist and Scout event: rafting on one of the most beautiful rivers in Ukraine - Teteriv. In five days, young Scouts had to overcome more than 60 km. There was a lot of difficulties on their route like shoals and rapids, rain, wind and heat. But we overcame all the difficulties together, this is the essence of Scouting adventures. At the end of the trip we were rewarded by finding a place, which Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would have called the new Lost World, it was a lake with crystal clear water, surrounded on all sides by rock walls except few places where adventurers could have a rest, dive and swim. The trip was succesful, all the goals were reached and all Scouts received a good experience that will give them the opportunity to take in the future even more difficult routes.
