Introduction:

Peace is the ultimate goal of every human being in this planet. But the goal is only achieved by collective effort of every people. As we know without a captain a ship cannot make a single move in the vast ocean, again without a proper army we can’t win the war of peace. Soldiers are those who knows how to do, what to do and way to do. So, to achieve the Peace movement in the society we need to train people those who can train others and take forward the barrel of peace. With this objective in our heart we organised a Messenger of Peace promotional event and Indo-Bangladesh Gathering to give our participants a complete knowledge and view about Messenger of Peace global Program and the ideas which are capable to make that happen in the road of peace.

Activities:

All participants reported from Indian contingent within 4:00 PM in the campsite with their belongings. After registration protocol they were allotted to their rooms. Due to Visa issue Bangladesh Contingent were not able to report on the camp site on this day. After Settled down, around 6:00 PM “Inauguration Programme” held in the conference room where Mr. Jagendra Prasad, Assistant State Commissioner, BS&G, West Bengal delivered welcome speech to the participants. After that program we gave a brief introduction of Messenger of Peace Platform and some glimpses of the movement.

20th August 2019:

Sessions started with an idea of Peace means to me and we tried to touch their hearts with our daily life activity examples. We tried to enrich them with the ideas of peace and collective efforts of achieving peace. After lunch Team Bangladesh reached our campsite. We organised a warm welcome for them with flowers and traditional scarfs of the region. After their allotments they joined us in the conference room. There were 18 delegates from the Bangladesh. Their Contingent Leader Mr. Ratan Kumar Biswas, Assistant Director, Bangladesh Scouts gave a good and brief speech about MoP movement in their nation. Thereafter we were sharing some ideas about the movement.

21st August 2019:

The day started with the flag break ceremony where the Two counties and BS&G flag was hoisted with proud and proper ceremony. Then after breakfast everyone gathered in the conference room. The day’s session started with the lecture on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) by Mr.Ashes Sarkar, MoP Coordinator, West Bengal. It was a very interesting a communicative session where every participant from both the contingent shared their ideas and thought with a warm engagement. After lunch the whole team gone for visit to the world famous “MAKAIBARI TEA ESTATE” where we come under the knowledge of tea processing techniques and different types of machineries involved in this process. The beautiful hilly atmosphere and spectacular views mesmerised everyone. After return Mr. Amit Kumar Gond, MoP Coordinator, West Bengal gave a knowledge about Messenger of peace platform registration and Project upload procedure. He was also giving an example by demo registration and demo project uploading. It was ended with a communicative session.

22nd August 2019:

The day started with the Aa le le song. Mr. Rupendra Mohan Sarkar, MoP State Coordinator, West Bengal explains the meaning of the song and gave a view about the importance of sharing idea to expand the movement. Then under the supervision of him Networking game was played. Mr. Rajib Singh, MoP Coordinator, West Bengal explains the idea underneath of the game. The total participants were divided into groups and assigned to choose 5 SDG and to explain how they contribute in that sectors. They also share their ideas by picture drawing “what peace means to me”. We had organised a Video making competition where every team should make a video to express their experience about the camp. Every team done that with exceptions. We had organised a interactive session for sharing the projects done by the two contingents in their nations. Every participant gave their presentations from both the side. Some things we learnt from them and something they, but in overall conversation it was made clear that MoP just not a program but it is a ribbon that tied us and kept us close to everyone. A Grand Camp Fire was organised at the end of the day, where everyone was joyful.

23rd August 2019:

The day of end. We organised an Open Session for everyone where can clear every doubt, listen everyone’s view about the camp, every good memory, every bad situation and most of all brotherhood. Participants willingly attained this program and did whatever we have expected from them. MoP bit dance was performed by the participants. Camp closed announced with lowering the flags and speech delivery from the leaders.

Inference:

This camp was organised with an objective to train people and give them a proper view about the ideas of worldwide MoP movement. After spending 5 days in the monitoring and skill observation we come to the conclusions that every participant is willed to give their total efforts to the Movement. The presence of foreign delegates enriches the participants and sharing ideas helped them to grow their own ideas. I am hoping these trained people enrich our movement with their hard work & skills.
