Scouting was introduced to the Grade 6, 7 & 8 students of St. Joseph's College along with a printed leaflet which describes the information on What is Scouting? & which attracts them to be scouts. It was a 03 day campaign which conducted on 05th , 09th & 12th June covering the respective Sections which consist 8 classes per Grade. Myself along with Teacher In Charge & few fellow Scouts visited each grade & i was able to speak few words on who are scouts & what they does? During the Introduction 3 main Characters were taken into examples who are Neil Armstrong, Bathiya & Santhush & Hon. Maythreepala Sirisena who are leaders in Sri Lanka & world who are also Scouts. Also the Highwaymans Hitch knot was also taken into practise which was shown the extra knowledge of a Scout could have with an example. Scouts were encouraged & invited to join scouts to be future leaders in the country. As a result 16 Scouts were joined as at 10 June 2015 & expecting more scouts would join by 13th of June 2015.
