Journey to zero waste

Project towards zero Waste

I got my motivation from my senior leaders, who tried there best to promote scouting and I thought this project would also lead to promotion of scouting as well. My goal was to manage the wastes in Bhutan and be a clean country ever.

This project mainly took place at the area where there were lots of wastes, but people were not willing to clean because of the distance between the area and the dumping place. For this project to work smoothly and successfully I looked for the volunteers and supports which worked really well.

Around 350 people were benefited from this project. With the implementation of this project the nature were impacted, the ecosystem and the biodiversity could be preserved and conserved, the health of the living organisms improved and above all it could help the people residing there. My achievement through this project were the promotion of scouting towards safeguarding our environment.

What I learned from this project were the huge impact of wastes towards the nature and it's environment. In addition, I knew one of the strategy to contribute towards zero waste policy and about how I can as a responsible citizens could help reduce the wastes.
