Project SEWA – Scouts Empowering SDGs

Project SEWA – Scouts Empowering SDGs was inspired by the core values of Scouting—service, duty to others, and creating a better world. As we celebrate Foundation Day, we wanted to not only honour our legacy but also take real action toward the Sustainable Development Goals. Seeing the needs in our community and the potential of young Scouts and Guides to bring change motivated us to start this project. It is our small step towards health, equality, environment, and responsible citizenship.

The execution began with a well-planned meeting of unit leaders to define objectives, allocate responsibilities, and align the project with SDG goals. Permission was obtained from concerned offices, and participants from all sections were assigned duties and briefed on discipline, communication, and public awareness. The team visited designated office premises respectfully with the public, created awareness about health, community welfare, and sustainable development.

Through this project, we learned the importance of teamwork, communication, and responsible leadership. The project taught us how planning, coordination with authorities, and disciplined execution are essential for success. We understood the value of public interaction, confidence building, and spreading awareness with respect and clarity. Managing funds and maintaining proper documentation also enhanced our sense of accountability and transparency.
