From August to December 2014 the National Organization of the Scouts of Ukraine has been realizing the project "I-WE-Ukraine" with the support of the initiative "Messengers of Peace". The project was launched in Ukraine in August with a large-scale flashmob "United Ukraine". In these hard times, when Ukrainian society is suppressed by complex political and economic processes, and any activity, especially among the youth, is blocked, big events that make youth more active and reestablish good relationships and communication support between different regions of Ukraine are very important. That's why the flashmob "United Ukraine" had a big feedback not only from the Scouts of the National Organization of the Scouts of Ukraine, but also from a large number of people from all walks of life, representatives of public organizations, government institutions and authorities. This flashmob was realized almost in all regions of NOSU. Due to activity of Ukrainian Scout groups and reestablishment of communication between members of NOSU a large-scale festival "Youth invites Kiev" was carried out. Lots of NOSU members from all over Ukraine as well as more than 4,500 visitors and residents of the Ukrainian capital, Kiev were able to take part in this event. A particular attention during the event was given to the reestablishment of communication and partnership between NOSU members. As for the whole of Ukrainian society and for the National Organization of Scouts of Ukraine, the unity of Scout groups from different regions, east and west, north and south, is an important factor. Thanks to the initiative of the "Messengers of Peace" and the project "I-WE-Ukraine" we started to establish an effective dialogue between Ukrainian Scouts who are looking forward to future events. The project also hosted a seminar-practicum for patrol leaders “Start with yourself", where besides useful skills, patrol leaders were informed about the "Messengers of Peace” network: how to register on the site and create projects. Moreover the participants of the seminar took part in JOTA-JOTI - the World Scout Jamboree on the Internet. The final stage of the project was the conference, where all the results and plan for the future were discussed. We are also waiting for the issue of the Scout catalog of good deeds. In general, the project had a big success and brought the expected results. Besides, we managed to slightly strengthen the "Messengers of Peace" network, to establish an effective dialogue in the Ukrainian Scouting and to reach a new level of relations and cooperation in such a difficult time for our country. We believe we can build a better world and we’ve got a lot ahead.
