Project Centenuntary of 10th Hong Kong Group

Project Centenuntary is community service programme initiated by 10th Hong Kong Group (10th HKG), St. Paul's College. The pandemic reveals the needs of under privileges in society. The centennial celebration of 10th HKG gathers all members and alumni, which is the strong support for this programme. We conduct home safety check for elderly and organise events for the blinds and children with heart disease. The programme also benefits us to understand the issues in inequalities and social justice.
We conduct home safety check for 70nos of elderly, organise events for the blinds in a centre, and arrange a troop meeting and campfire for the children with heart disease. Service Teams are formed with scout members, leaders, and alumni. Trainings are arranged to equip the team with the knowledge. An Execution Committee is form to organise the programme and supervised by Group Committee.
Under the restriction of pandemic control strategy, there are limited organisations can offer services and events for the under privileges. The programme promotes the home safety for elderly and release the stress from pandemic through organising events. Our members are also benefited with more understanding to the inequality issues and the skills for future services after the programme.
The effort of one Group is limited. If possible, we would like to mobilise more scouts and extend the programme to serve a wider community.
