It's a start of Prabuhi Campaign. Prabuhi is stands for "Pramuka Buku Hidup" in Bahasa Indonesia, in English it is "Scout as a Living Book'. This program is launched by The Provincial Scout Leader of West Java; Dede Yusuf Macan Effendi, on 19th Desember 2012. But somehow, the process is rather slow due to technical difficulties. So, although we planned to run promoting programs that allow us to meet scouts in 26 regions in our province, we cant give a start yet. Instead, we start in a secondary school called SPANMA Sukabumi, in Sukabumi region. There are 23 young scouts who were willing to know and learn about this Reading Volunteering program. Prabuhi is a literary movement for young scouts so they spend an hour or less a week to read for needing people around them or in their own community voluntery. This is considered as an important task, because we believe that lack of information leads to so many difficulties and obstacles in life. To make our community well informed as much as we can is our goal. This is not easy because reading or searching informations in tend to be less familiar hobbies in our community. Most of the people dont find this as their needs. The needs to read and absorbing informations and literature are to be evoked by this program. So, this first promoting program in a camp was overwhelming and fruitful. We (4 adults scouts: Atta Verin, Susanti Yulianti, Ita Roslina and Galuh Hikmah MY) found the passion on those youngs in delivering this tasks. They will perform it weekly and take it as their weekly personal task. We aim for bigger and broader activity, but for now, make the young scout understand the important task of this literary movement is more crucial. We planned on bigger Camp and bigger evaluating and up-grading workshop after this promoting programs succeed. About the Camp, this 200 secondary high school students signing up to be scouts, they were receiving basic information about Prabuhi, and what this literary movement means, also how to sign up and deliver this volunteering action under their school scout team. The next day we held discussion about this program, to allow them understand more about This reading volunteering actions, We look forward to start a schedule for the action by the end of this month.
