On 8th of May 2021, Saturday, the Scouts Association of Malaysia, Rover unit of Kulai District through Messengers of Peace (MoP) Initiative hosted a PPM DaKu MOP Heroes 2.0 in the district level, following the theme of “Zero Hunger Project”. Since 2020, our Rover unit started to make an action to help other people who were really needed.  Due to MCO (Movement Control Order) for the whole country, some of us were cut off necessities. They may jobless, an orphan, a widow who lose their spouse or suffering chronic pain.

As an initiative to make them smile again, our crew agree to continue this project on this year. If last year, there was only one place involved which is Perumahan Flat Temenggong, Kulai. This year, we make an improvement by involving more than one place which included FELDA Bukit Batu and Skudai. There were 40 families from difference background who received the donations for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

In a total of 17 crews were helping out through this project directly and indirectly. COVID-19 has thrown our world into turmoil and forcibly reminded us that what happens in one part of the world can impact people everywhere. In hope, that this project will help them in completing their basic needs for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Also, present Tn. Emir Nashriq Bin Kassim, Kulai District Commissioner and Tn. Syed Mohd Hafiz Bin Syed Hadzir, Assistant District Commissioner of Rover Unit came along and monitor the crews just to make sure that the project run smoothly. The project takes around 6 hours to complete it well.

This MOP Heroes 2.0 contribute all Scouts and community to share sustenance to the people needed. In the nutshell, all of us in this world are rely on each other.
